Well I think we all know the cricket on Sunday didn't exactly go South Africa's way... but when times are dark, there's nothing like some mindless games to take your mind off things. In my case it takes the form of Wii Mario Cart, played with the wheel of course. It's taken a while but I can now finally complete a race without my cart falling off some bloody waterfall or cliff. Ive even mastered the box story... My son and hubby still kick my butt, but he ho I do enjoy a challenge.
Why is it that kids under 16 and certain husbands can pick up any controller they like and know exactly what their doing, doesn't matter if its X Box, PSP, PS2/3 or Wii the little critters get it right every time. On the other hand, moms just don't seem to have what it takes to be a gamester. Maybe its a genetic thing? Maybe us girls have a missing chromosome or something...
Now Wii fit, aha now that's a different kettle of fish, us girls know just how to punish ourselves with hours of exercise. Seems to me we need to practice more on the Mario wheel, where its possible to have a glass of wine whilst driving, versus leaping around for hours on end with not a glass of wine in sight.
